Construction flaw?
This sandal was comfortable on, right out of the box - soft leather, supportive, and edgy-looking on my foot. I zipped up the two clever zips in the back at the heel and started to walk. Something felt odd. Checking, the entire heel seam had detached from the heel bed when they were zipped up for the first time. Taking them off, I was surprised to discover both shoe heels had separated from the heel bed. This is my second A.S98 Rhett Lace-Up Sandal having purchased a smoke-colored pair last season, worn a few times. Decided to pull them out to check their seam and could hardly believe the discovery that the heel base this pair was also separating. Design flaw or bad glue? Either way, it's a shame as these are awesome-looking sandals.
