Wexford Waterproof Chelsea Boot (Women)

Was looking for waterproof Chelsea boots that look good and durable and this specific boot came up in an article as their top recommendation. The picture on the Nordstrom site gives the appearance like the leather of the boot is very smooth however, when I received the product, it looks very wrinkly, which is not the look I was going for. If you like the lived-in look, then this is fine, it just wasn’t what I wanted.

To me, this boot looks very unassuming in the pictures. I thought I was buying a simple utilitarian boot but there is much more to the Chelsea. It has clean, classy lines and looks very sharp with boot cut jeans and straight leg trousers. I love all my Ariat boots but this one has become my new go to. As with all Ariat boots, they were completely comfortable right out of the box and true to size. Thank you Ariat for making such cute, classy, comfortable boots!

I love these boots! Bought them in 10.5, my normal size, because I wanted some nice waterproof boots to wear on a trip to Scotland. So far they have worked perfectly! I was concerned I should have bought an 11 to allow room for wool socks, but these were perfectly sized. And they have worn wonderfully right out of the box-no breaking in needed. Would repurchase in a heartbeat!

I took a risk switching from my old standard Rockport to Ariat. I am an 11 in Rockport but their quality has declined. I bought an 11 in these and wore them daily all winter through rain and slush. they were supportive, dry and comfortable right out of the box and broke in nicely. waiting to buy another color next year to add to my daily wears. got many many compliments on the java color (not quite brown/green seems to go with everything!)

These boots are beautiful & I love them but... I wear a 7-7.5, got the 7.5 & they were too big (my heel is coming out). The challenge is how stiff the leather is - I find them a little hard to get into & the top opening is a but smaller than the Wexford Lug. Also the leather across the top rim is stiff; when I walk it hits against my shins & it hurts. Unfortunately I'm returning them though I wish they'd have worked as they were exactly what I was looking for.
