Rain waterproof. Quick dry and comfortable to wear

Great coat terrible colour. Sent mine back. If this were only muted blue like past years. The other colour options aren’t great either. Arc’teryx please make better colours in the SV line up.

The warmth in the insulation is negated by the poor taper. Fits like a women’s jacket where the shoulders are narrow. They could make a better MENS jacket if they took the shoulders from the XL and the waist from the large and made it into a properly fitting jacket The XL has too much space at the waist and stomach even whe draw cord is tight. But the large is too short with tight shoulders. It seems Arc’teryx unfortunately moved away from an athletic customer base and is now trying to tap into to the obese market. This isn’t their only product where the new models have poorer fit

Bought this for running around town this spring in MN. Wanted something a little different than typical puffer. The moment I put this jacket on I was blown away how comfortable it was. Every seam is soft and just felt cozy but also very light. Vitality is quite a striking color and has grown on me every wear. I’ve been wearing it in mid 40° weather and that seems to be a sweet spot for low level activity/errands. I think I’d be comfortable +- 5°. The cuff material is very soft and so are the two fleece lined hand pockets and the hood. Durability is going to be the one question mark but i have no concerns out of the gate. Breathability is good for a synthetic since it’s not overstuffed with heavy insulation but also has good lightweight loft. I was nervous going from mostly down jackets to this but I’m quite pleased so far. I’m 6,1” 165 and medium is fine. Not too trim but not bulky.

I have been wearing the Atom SV hoodie as my go to for hikes and for daily use these past couple of months. Great mobility. Comfortable and warm during -20 degree weather with some decent layers. And even after falling roughly a hundred metres down a mountain all I was left with was a penny sized rip on the shoulder which I got repaired at a ReBird centre. The only drawback is that I naturally run hot so it’s breathable enough to leg go of some moisture but not enough for me personally during activity. Overall would buy again.

Wow. Great jacket. I got hot just trying it on. Only problem was that the weather down here in Texas got warm again before I actually got the item. It’s so light and soft. Very impressive. I can’t wait for more severe weather to really put it through its paces. Will recommend to others for sure.
