What it is: A unique protective barrier facial serum that defends against environmental damage and free radicals and reinforces daily hydration.

What it does: The serum helps seal skin against pollution, weather, chemicals and free radicals with antioxidant glutathione and vitamins C and E. It hydrates with sodium PCA and mucin, natural humectants that pull moisture from the air to alleviate skin dryness. It repairs and strengthens skin's collagen and elastin to see real changes in dry or aging skin.
How to use: Use the facial serum in AM as needed. Shake well and apply one pump into palm of hand. Evenly distribute over face, including eye area, lips, neck and décolletage.

Don't Leave Home Without It
This was recommended to me when I was taking my very dry skin from its very dry home to a very hot and humid place and felt I should take different products than my usual.
Over the first two weeks of my trip, Desert Mist diminished a couple of dry patches and discolourations I didn't know could be diminished. I stopped using it for a week at the end of the trip, and my skin noticeably devolved.
I've used it since and I like the improved appearance and texture of my skin over time. I also like the daily dewy feeling.

changed formula :(
Unfortunately it seems like Arcona changed the formula for Desert Mist since I last bought it in February 2025 and the new formula is not as good as the prior formula (which I had been using since around 2011 and loved). The old formula was very light, left my skin looking super moisturized, smelled wonderful and had a golden color to it. The new formula is clear, feels sticky and thick, and my skin almost looked dryer after I put it on! I am very disappointed and I hope they bring the old formula back. Don’t mess with a good thing Arcona!

Packaging leaks
Would've been 5 stars, but the packaging leaks everywhere! Please address this issue so I can keep enjoying a wonderful product! Someone made this complaint in a review in 2012, so clearly quality control is not a priority. Ruined my travel case. Figure this out Arcona.

Desert must have!
A beauty consultant tried this one me. I was skeptical about it since I have oily skin and tend to break out easily. She gave me a sample of it. I absolutely love this product. Does not break me out, helps to keep me pores clean as it shields it from LA smog and pollution.

Great Product- but it leaks
I love Arcona products, and specificallly Desert Mist, but this is my 3rd bottle and every one of them has leaked. I am hoping Arcona can design a more effective bottle so I can travel with it :-)

Love it!
Desert mist is a great makeup primer and provides enough moisture for my skin to only wear it in the day time. The smell is a little strange but goes away within minutes. I love all of the products I have tried in the arcona line. This most definitely didn't disappoint.
