'Laius' Flat

First, I say a little small as it is recommended to go up a full size. I am an 8 and buy a 9. Not exactly sure, but box says 10, pay attention carefully. Cannot say enough about the comfort of these shoes. I go all day and night and no complaints. No aching feet. No rubbing. What a relief, as I don't have another brand of shoes I can do this in. I have gorgeous shoes, but when I want the combination of looks and ease and comfort these are the ones I turn to. Costly but worth every penny. They last forever! They do not wear out!!! There are so many styles is something for everyone. I have had two knee surgeries in two years (shattered knee cap/slip and fall), I did not wear any type of heel. With Arche I am venturing out of my staple ballets. These are what I have: Laius solid flat ballet, Nosyam three strap wedge, Eyba short heel Mary Jane pump Lusting for some of the ankle boots and chukkas! I have another ballet with stars Nordstrom doesn't have on website. These sell out quickly! Don't wait! They won't disappoint!

Each time I am in Nice (France), I try on shoes at the Arche store. I always leave empty handed. But I still had hope that the Laius would fit my narrow/medium foot. I always wear a size 7 and have trouble finding ballet style shoes that do not slip in the heel. The elastic of this shoe sounded promising. I ordered the size 38 (size 7-7.5), knowing it ran small. Within seconds of trying it on, I had searing pain in both heel where the elastic hit (unusually high). The entire shoe felt snug. Then I ordered size 39 since no 1/2 sizes are available. Definitely too big. It really looks like a suede shower shoe, completely folds in half. I tried adding a 3/4 foam arch support insole since there is zero support. I cannot understand why this would be rated as a walking shoe. My AGL is so comfy and is much better looking with a little more support. Definitely cannot recommend this Arche Laius to anyone.
