Montreal Gore-Tex^® Waterproof Boot (Women)

I’m a size 8 in US sizing or 39 in European sizing and the 39 size was perfect. These boots have a true medium width. I have had both feet reconstructed and these boots are comfortable which in my circumstance is hard to find. The outsole is good but does not have as much traction as the Ara Debbie 2.0. I couldn’t shuffle that style at all on a hardwood floor but this one would shuffle easily so I don’t know if these will have enough traction on ice and snow. Overall, these are excellent, comfortable and warm winter boots.

This could have been the perfect winter boot. I wanted a RED boot to wear with my new red Burberry scarf, and all my other red holiday attire. Unfortunately, this boot is plum/maroon-ish. It's very pretty, but I don't own anything that color, so I returned. But... it's a great boot, and I would have ordered in Black, if they had my size: Pros: Comfy/soft waterproof microfiber suede, and very soft faux fur around ankle and tongue... no cold air getting down ther! Soft wool felt fabric in the rest of the boot... but it's not too thick, so you can easily slip boot on/off. I wear an 11/42... but I needed a 43 in this, so I would say it runs 1/2 size short. The width and toe box were nice and generous, allowing me to wear a normal cold-weather socks comfortably (vs. a trouser sock). If they had my size in Black, I'd buy it!

These would have been my third pair of Ara boots. I need rain boots with good arch support so these were my natural choice based on the success I've had with my other 2 pair (not rain boot styles). Sadly and weirdly, the arch in this boot is out of sync with my natural foot. In order to get the arch in the boot to fit my foot, I would have to shove my heel hard against the back of the boot. That won't work, obviously. The feel was like having space beneath the arch of the foot. In addition, the footpads have a sticky substance that is very unpleasant. I'm returning them.
