Unique
Really great looking EDC backpack. Comfortable straps. The material in black looks like leather. Fits my 16" macbook pro just fine. The clamshell is very functional. Holds it's shape when empty.

The better version of Nomin
Sleek looking backpack with tons of space and minimum weight. So many improvements from the previous generations of Nomin: The bag retains its shape even when not packed. Laptop accessibility finally at the top (vs. on the side), and don’t share the same zipper as the small accessory compartment anymore. Padding on back. So far the new material makes the black version no longer a dirt magnetic. Highly recommend!

Water holders
Not having water bottle pockets on the sides is a big deal cause I tried putting water inside the bag and it wet everything in the bag smh
arcteryx.com response
Hello Jay jay, thank you for sharing your experience with the Anodic Backpack. The side bottle pockets are intentionally removed to keep the silhouette clean and streamlined, but we understand how important external storage can be—especially when carrying water inside the main compartment leads to leaks or damp gear. Your feedback highlights a real usability gap for certain activities, and it’s helpful for our Product team as they continue refining how our packs balance minimalism with everyday function.

Backpack I've been looking for
The bag holds it's shape even when fully empty or just with laptop in it. Laptop compartment is quite big and it has it's own space. The mesh pocket fits my Macbook 16" and iPad 13" but I struggled to get them out even with two hands. With only Macbook it was easier but still requires two hands and some struggle. Also laptop mesh pocket has a false bottom. Side pocket is quite small, fits my wallet and airpods and I find it quite easy to access. It has no own space as it shares it with laptop compartment. Main compartment is huge, it can easily fit my camera cube with lenses, laptop charger and jacket and there was still a lot of space left. I really like that I can utilise whole compartment thanks to cube shape. There are three mesh pockets in main compartment that are pretty flat but there is some stretch. I'm able to fit my laptop charger in one of them. Bag fully loaded with my setup does not stand on its own but I managed to load it in a way where it does. The zippers are quite loud but easy to open. The straps are really thin but comfly as well as the back panel. Backpack just feels right on my back. Overall material looks and feels really solid.
