A new direction for Byredo
Animalique is like if Byredo and D.S & Durga had a baby. It’s got that leathery gasoline vibe mixed with a refined violet note that settles and changes throughout the day. A new winter favorite!

lets be honest
I smelled this in store. I completely understand why it has its name. It smells wild. Probably, if not, the worst perfume I have ever smelled. Repulsive is an understatement. I can’t be nice about this scent even if I was paid. Absolutely not.

Thought I loved it
Thought I loved!
I tested this out in Nordstroms a few times. I thought I loved it! Perfume is so subjective to each person so take what I say with a grain of salt. It has an initial strong tobacco/suede note but the dry down has a softer vanilla note, according to my nose. It seemed like such a good mix of softer and more masculine notes. However, it’s beast mode. Which to some may be a good thing! But to me, it became too cloying and sickening. From afar, not on me, I love the fragrance. But after wearing it a few times, I couldn’t help but feeling like I smelled like a grandma who smokes. I love Bal D’Afrique and Gypsy Water for reference!

Will be ordering ASAP
I purchased SUNDAZED by Byredo and received this as a sample. OMG is all i have to say. 100% will be purchasing the full-size perfume. I don't normally buy into "this is for summer..this is for winter..." however, i do w/this scent. It is slightly similar to YSL Black Opium, which makes me think of Fall/Winter, not a hot July day! I apologize for not being able to put into words what this scent is like, but all i can say is if you lean towards sexy/spicy/leathery-type scents, then this is for you! It is really very very unique-in the best way possible:)

Signature scent
I have a lot of scents in my collection and some more interesting niche scents although this one from byredo is my signature. I’m not usually a fan of byredo but this one in particular has good longevity and projection. It’s unique and so beautiful. I find it suitable for all occasions. I have had so many compliments almost every time I wear this scent. The suede is smooth and well rounded.
