Great for blush and light powders
I wanted to get a new brush for blush and other light powders (perhaps around eyes?). This works beautifully. I had a brush that I usually used for blush but it picked up too much product. This picks up just the right amount, and you can build on it if you want. The other brush I'd been using also seemed to displace more blush as well, so I had to blow it off in order to put it away, and not make a mess. This brush does not do that. Just keep in mind that the feel is very light. It's not meant to be a foundation brush at all. Excellent!

Laura Mercier brush
The angled brush is not very effective, I found so I reverted to a more even topped brush.

Most used makeup brush in my stack
I absolutely love the Laura Mercier Angled Cheek Contour Brush—it has quickly become one of my everyday essentials. From the moment I started using it, I could tell it was designed with both performance and comfort in mind. The angled shape is perfect for sculpting the cheekbones, making contouring feel effortless and precise, even on days when I’m in a rush.
What really makes this brush stand out for me is how beautifully it works with cream products, especially contour and blush sticks. It blends them out seamlessly without disturbing the base underneath, which can sometimes be a challenge with other brushes. The shape hugs the natural contours of the face, allowing for a soft, diffused finish rather than harsh lines. It gives me that naturally sculpted look without requiring a lot of effort or technique.
The bristles are incredibly soft, which makes application feel luxurious every time. Despite how gentle they feel on the skin, they are still dense enough to pick up and distribute product effectively. I never feel like I’m losing control of placement or over-blending. It strikes the perfect balance between softness and precision.
Another huge plus is the quality. I’ve been using this brush consistently, and it hasn’t shed a single hair. That’s something I really value, especially considering how frustrating shedding can be with other brushes. It also maintains its shape beautifully after washing, which speaks volumes about its durability. The brush still looks as good as new, even after multiple cleans.
Overall, this brush has elevated my makeup routine. It simplifies contouring and blending while delivering consistently beautiful results. Whether you’re a beginner or someone more experienced with makeup, this brush makes the process easier and more enjoyable. If you love using cream contour or blush sticks like I do, this brush is definitely worth trying. It combines quality, performance, and longevity in a way that truly stands out.

Great Brush!
I have been using the Laura Mercier Cheek Contour Brush for a few months now, using it to apply powder blush. I'm a big fan of the brush - the angle of the brush makes it really easy to apply product to my cheeks. I have washed the brush a few times too and have had no issues with it. It is a little pricey but would definitely say it's worth the investment.
