Eye Pencil Sharpener

I write this review only to correct a misconception on the usefulness of this product. Indeed, it works. And it works on the thicker pencils, including the "eye lights" pencil. But, it requires the user to remove the removable insert in the larger sharpener opening. I have found all of my Anastasia purchases to be excellent, including this one.

What a bummer! I specifically bought this sharpener to use with my Anastasia Beverly Hills Duo Highlighting Pencil but unfortunately the Duo pencil is too thick to fit into this sharpener. The advertised description for this sharpener, "Well-designed to sharpen Anastasia Beverly Hills' thin line eyeliner pencils or thick highlight and shimmer pencils" is simply not true. I am not sure why Anastasia would advertise and sell a sharpener that does not fit all of their brow pencils, thick or thin. Sadly, I will be returning this sharpener.

I love all of the products by Anastasia and this sharpener as well .When I received the sharpener I had one big problem because the mat highlighter crayon would not fit into the larger hole. I was ready to send it back but thought that I would go into the Nordstrom store to see why it didn't work . The girl at the counter looked at it and at first could not figure it out either. She then removed that little circle that is shown in the picture above and finally the crayon fit into the larger hole. Instructions should have been given either with the packaging or on the actual description of the product before someone orders it telling them to remove that inner circle with the rim on it

I bought this to replace my Estee Lauder sharpener and my pencil tips have not broken off once thus far. This is great for everyday use if you don't want to make a mess or see the contents inside the container. I've only used the small hole thus far, but it rivals Clinique's old fashioned green one.
