My favorite Altra
I love this shoe - have worn heavily and now looking to replace! Great support and toe width. I have a nerve issue in my foot and these are the only shoes I want to hike in.

Terrible design for the tongue
This is my first and last pair of Altra running shoes. The tongue design is terrible and it cuts into the ankles. I will not return the shoes but instead I will modify the tongue to make it work.

Almost great!
I wanted to love this shoe! I ordered a half size up and it fit perfectly. The shoe was really comfortable but unfortunately the tongue cut into my ankle. I decided to return it because if this.

Never owned a more comfortable fit
I have a pair I run in and a pair I wear out and about. I love this shoe. I love the cushion it provides for the gravel road I regularly run on. I'll continue to buy it as long as they continue to make it.

Runs 2 sizes small
I wear a 12 in Altra and bought these on sale. They arrived today and I couldn't get my foot in them. My niece who wears a 10 came over and they fit her perfectly so guess who has a new pair of shoes? (We checked inside the shoe and they are labeled 12). Otherwise cute shoe. She's a nurse and had wanted a thick-soled shoe so she's happy with them.

material split
I bought this shoe last fall last year. I did not wear them much this winter as I live where it snows and don't run in the winter. I really like the fit of this shoe however I have not worn them that much this spring and the material on the outside of the right shoe has split. I also agree with the complaint of the tongue does cut into the ankle.
