Altitude Running Shorts

I popped into Nordstroms at the Anniversary sale and saw these. Tried them on and ended up buying the 3 colors they had in store. Now I am back online to order more. I think they are better than Lululemon shorts which i have several over and don't love the cut of the short. These have been great for both exercise (I'm a runner) and wearing around casually

I have the same short (checked the style number on the tag) purchased in Jan 2022 and really liked the cut and especially because the back pocket has a zipper. So when I saw this on sale I snatched it up but I got it was so disappointed. Right away I could tell they cheaped out on the materials and construction. The waistband is this poorly made smocking vs the old one was tiny ribbed. But the reason I'm returning is because the back pocket is now just open, no zipper. So if I'm out running around I would not feel safe that my keys or credit cards would be secure.

I can understand why these got good reviews - sizing is correct and the fabric is light. However there is no way I would actually run in these. How does a runner actually use these shorts? There’s absolutely no pocket other than a tiny unsecured slit in the back. I couldn’t even put my car key in there because it doesn’t zip. What on earth is this “pocket” for??? There’s no room for a gel or anything with these shorts, these are just regular old walking around the house shorts. If I’m going to actually run, which is what I had bought these for, I will stick to my Lulu shorts and skirts or practically anything else because these just won’t work. Definitely sending these back.

Love these shorts! They are super light and comfy. I’m a huge fan of Zella in general and these shorts do not disappoint. Ended up going back and getting them in another color as well.

I almost didn’t get these because the influencer I follow didn’t like them and said they ran small. Luckily my store had them in stock so I got to try them on in multiple sizes. I’m 5’7, 140 pounds, athletic build and usually around a size 2/4. The medium was too large in the waist but the small ended up being a perfect fit! I like where they sit on my waist and the length is perfect even with my long legs.

I just bought these shorts today and ran 4 miles. I had to get on here to leave a review about how much I love them!! I’m 5’4”, 140 lbs and have a curvy bottom half. These do not rub or ride up and make it look like I’m wearing underwear. So comfy and so cute
