TRUE to size: I’m always a 7 1/2 | 38EU (perfect 38) and the 8 has plenty of room to spare for me!
GORGEOUS: refined edgy in person & the shaft & heel height are insanely perfect —these rock an edgy Zadig & Voltaire long silk slip dress OR polished long Lafayette 148 shirt shirt dress, also amazing with short All Saints/FRAME/PAIGE dresses and almost all my other other short dresses cropped denim AND full length straight cut, boot cut, flares. The heel color tones it down so it’s incredibly versatile -edgy, yet subtle, and the height is perfection —gives a gorgeous line, but not at all too tall/ showy looking and it’s *just the right height on your calf to wear with short dresses and skirts.
COMFY: no cushioned insole, but perfect heel strike, and I’ve walked in these all day and never a bit of discomfort, no swelling, my feet feel totally normal when I take them off!
*note -I get what the reviewers are saying about not the leather the expected, maybe for the shaft, but this leather is perfect for this style because it gives, but holds its shape flawlessly, never slouching, buckling, folding, falling. Also, if the shaft leather was thicker, you would lose the beautiful lines that let it go so gorgeously even with delicate or polished dresses. I have MANY pairs of high-end boots —over half a dozen of Stewart Weitzman alone. I choose VERY selectively for my overflowing closets, and these absolutely made the cut —I would NOT pass on these! The range is phenomenal and the look they create is striking yet polished. Perfection.

Beware! Photos are not accurate!!
Heels are completely a different color, leather feels cheap, and sole is a different color. They are also tricky with sizing; I am a true 9 ½ 10 and I ordered the 10 so it would fit with socks. It was too small and hurt my toes SO bad. So disappointed with the Nordstrom sale this year.

The boot I received looks like a cheap version of the online photo. The online photo shows tan boots with chocolate brown heel and sole with ‘shining nail heads along the welt.” The nail heads are all dull and discolored. Considering the $400 price tag I expected better. There is no distressing on the boot as pictured in the photo. While the leather is soft and beautiful the cheap looking heel Nd sole ruined the look for me. I will be returning.

cheap heel
Leather and style is good, but what's up with the cheap heel? Also the color of the heel is not dark - it's almost the same shade as the boot. Quality doesn't match the price on this pair. If you're still considering them, I'd suggest going up one size.

Bummer, I was wondering why these looked cheap in person and not like something I would order. Sure enough, when I pulled up the picture of the tan brown boots for the anniversary style, they don’t match what I received. My pair has an ugly natural wood tone sole and cheap looking heel instead of the chocolate color. The studs are dull instead of gleaming gold. The upper has none of the distressing. I hope they can find and send me the boots I thought I ordered!
