Backpack Straps
I love this bag!!! The color, the feel and durability. I did see the other reviews about the large pizza box look. To solve that issue, I unhooked the backpack straps and crisscrossed them to change the shape.

Fashion over Function
The elephant gray color is SO good and the leather is beautiful but the design is just off. The top handle can't be undone fully when you want to use it as a backpack and while the backpack straps can be undone- it's a pain. To leave the backpack straps out and the top strap on means it's darn near impossible to get into the bag. There are all these straps in the way! While the side zipper is nice for quick access to a cell phone, the pocket itself is big and goes into the interior compartment of the bag so all your stuff gets shoved around. Why not sew it in between the leather itself and the liner instead of leaving it to float around the interior?
Like most other All Saints bags, they are so great looking but there's always something off with them when it comes to practical function. It's as if they have an incredible design team coming up with products but no one tests the bags out before producing them.

Pizza box
The leather and quality of the bag is amazing. However, the bag looks like a large size pizza box when worn as a backpack. If only wanting to wear as a handbag.....I think it would be a great buy. It's very roomy if you like large bags. Probably good for over night and carry on.

beautifully made but too big for me
I have been shopping for a handbag backpack for some time. I want to be able to carry a laptop and personal items and be able to add the odd grocery item that I pick up on my way home.
This is a beautiful bag. Very plain and spare in design, but it was just too big. The square shape doesn't help. I wouldn't mind paying quite a lot for the perfect bag, but this one isn't it and will be going back.

Beautiful Convertible Handbag/Backpack
I cannot say enough good things about this bag and I am not one that is easily impressed. I wanted a "mom bag" without having a real mom bag, this handbag/backpack fit the bill.
I love how I can carry this to work, but also how it takes me into the weekends and allows me to be handsfree as I carry/chase after my little one. Only thing I wish it had was the crossbody strap, that would make this a 6 star!

Great Bag for City Commuters!
I'm in love with this bag. As a subway and bus commuter, the difficulty of accessing the zippers (and lack of front compartment) is a huge plus, as I've never really felt comfortable commuting in a traditional-format backpack with a big front pocket and "half moon" zipper for the big compartment. I confess, accessing the side pocket from the left will take some getting used to since I'm right-handed, but the bag (in black) is stunning, well-made, and big enough to fit my lunch and gym clothes at once. I highly recommend this stylish, functional bag.
