Elle Sweater

I really expected to loved this top, but didn’t. The snap details not only looks cute, but seems versatile. I’m in between M and Ls, but neither worked for me. The Medium seemed to short and the large was too big. The snaps were so heavy and the material is so lightweight that the snaps kept folding in and resting on my chest so you couldn’t see them. I had to pass, but with a heavy heart.

This is definitely more of a shirt than a sweater. It is also definitely much shorter than pictured (I am 5’8” and it comes to the tip top of my higher wasted jeans). I also think you need to play around with the buttons to get it to drape correctly. That being said, once you accept all of those things, it will grow on you. Plus the price for an AllSaints top is pretty sweet.

I was disappointed to not get to try this sweater in one of my preferred colors and correct size, too bad it sold out so quickly. If you’re between sizes, size down. The L was too big, I’m a 36D. I got the gray color because it was the only one left and it was not that special. It looks like sweatshirt material. I don’t think I want to pay full price for this sweater. The quality was ok but not awesome. I was surprised that the button detail at the neckline isn’t just for show - you can actually button closed the entire opening for your head. That means there are gaps at the shoulders when you move, which show off your bra strap. So it’s not appropriate for work unless you want to wear a strapless bra all day which I def. do not. Not really what I was hoping for.
