Alliston Water Repellent 750 Fill Power Down Long Hooded Parka

This coat is stylish (as stylish as a coat of this design can be) and warm. The nylon is durable and reinforced in high friction areas. I am usually a size 4-6 and bought a medium Bc I wanted to be able to wear thick layers underneath. I have plenty of room to do so. I probably could have gotten a small but dislike the idea of too-snug outerwear. I have tested this in -10 F temps with -40s windchills, it kept me warm!! Would definitely recommend.

Pros: lightweight - especially compared to the Elmwood I purchased. Covers legs (great for walking the dog!) Cons: I am 5’4 and this was nearly too long. I wanted my legs mostly covered, but I felt it was in the way because it hit my ankles. But that may be what you want! Just keep that factor in mind. This was a rather lightweight jacket, and I think it would keep me warm in Chicago winter, but I felt I needed something more heavy duty. I was slightly concerned if it would stand up to Chicago weather. I am 5’4 125 lbs 34D and a small fit perfectly. You can layer with this jacket. The small still allowed me to layer without being too bulky. Bottom line: maybe not for the harshest of winters, covers legs (but may be too long on you!), so lightweight and not a hassle in the car or at a store

This is my third Canada Goose jacket. I also have the Mystique which is similar to the Alliston. If I had to choose between the two it would definitely be this one due to the lightness and comfort it offers. The Mystique would be better if in a wetter climate because it repels water. I love having the option to zip or snap close the front rather than only having just a zipper (Mystique only zips). I live in Central Oregon where the temperatures can get well below freezing and this Jacket has kept me toasty warm. Traditional Canada Goose jackets can feel bulky which is fine if you’re standing most of the time. I prefer the comfort of this puffer jacket when sitting in cold weather. I have also noticed a little cold goes through the arm area (nothing drastic) but if you layer underneath it’s perfecto. I am also 6’1” and the length is perfect for me. Not sure it would work for someone very short unless you want it to go down to your ankles. Don’t hesitate on this one. It’s worth every penny.

I was definitely in need of a new winter jacket. So glad I went with this one. Not to heavy and it definitely keeps me warm. I normally wear XS but in jackets I will go w/a SM, just because I don’t want tight arms and I want to have room so I can wear a sweater or sweatshirt. My sales lady was great!! I felt horrible for her, just for all hoops she was going thru to let me try this on. Due to the increase in theft - She was great by unlocking them and helping me find the perfect fit. Definitely went out of her way to help me.

This is my first CH and I love it! I was glad that I didn’t just ordered online in my normal size S, otherwise it would be returned. I went to Nordy store at Tysons and tried on every CG style before ordering. To my surprised as none of CG size S fits me, LOL there weren’t any M for me to try on. I’m 5”4 112 (34-26-34) so I ordered a M. Well, a medium is sure enough to fit but fit much larger than I wanted. LOLOL I can put on four sweaters underneath CG and zip up the coat with plenty of room to spare. I was thinking of returning it though, however, the quality and the length of the coat meet my expectations! So I keep it yup, even though it’s too big for me. Anyhow, it’s much colder in D.C this year than normal this CG keeps me warm for sure. I have Raynard’s syndrome and this coat has been keeping that symptoms away from me. The coat is PRICEY but I have to admit it’s worth every nickel & dime. The most important thing is that I purchased this on my x3 day so, I got plenty of Nordy’s notes. Thanks Nordy! P.S If you have Raynaud’s syndrome and are looking for a coat to keep you warm and prevent the symptoms arise, this coat fits the bill.
