Randolph 2.0 Loafer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They are a beautiful. My husband said if they had it burgundy he would buy them again. They are a little tight initially but with every wear they are getting better. His Park Ave. lace ups don’t have a break in period but he loves the Randolph so much he doesn’t mind. They also look great with a suit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Randolph 2.0 Penny Loafer is beautifully crafted with understated elegance. The leather is sturdy yet supple and required no break in. It fit like a glove right out of the box. It is a versatile shoe that can be dressed up or down and can be worn with slacks, chinos, or jeans. If you are looking for a foundational classic shoe that will never go out of style, this is the one.

Sizing is an issue, apparently depending on the sole type (reflection of precise manufacturing location) as those with "Bench Welt" or Rendenbach tended to be shorter/narrower in the front and wider in the heel, while "Leather" Non-"bench welt" soles were longer/wider front, narrower heel. I normally wear 9D/E in most shoes, including many AEs, but for loafers including these I need to size up to 9.5, with the normal non-bench-welt soles (the bench welt--and I ordered several"). Style is the other element. I'm evidently more of a bit-loafer chap than I am a penny chap. Personal preference, I'm just less a fan of the penny when worn than the bit.
