'Neumok' Wingtip (Men)

I want to continue to love the Allen Edmonds brand, but I have found that, as of late, when I order a pair I can expect to have to return them at least once before a suitable, well constructed pair is sent. When all is well, Allen Edmonds produces shoes that are stylish, traditional in appearance, and pleasing to the eye. The problem is getting to that pair! See the two enclosed photos of the pair of Acorn Neumoks that I am returning that show where the stitching on the sole has gone out of its trench, with leaves you exposed stitching and a raised surface that you are walking on. I have over ten pairs of AE that I have collected over the years, and I find with more frequency that I have to do "the exchange" at least once. Check your pair over thoroughly, and I hope you find pleasure in what you hold in your hands. No fault with Nordstoms, however, as their customer service and return policy keep me returning to try my luck again: thanks guys, I'm sure Johan W. Nordstorm would be happy with the direction his company has taken.

I'm kind of disappointed with these shoes, through no fault of Nordstrom's.. I know these shoes are meant to be rugged, but the welt was coming apart at the instep, a hole in the brogue wasn't properly pushed through, and there were stitches hanging off all over the place. Not what I would expect from a $200 shoe, even a casual one. I'm planning on returning these, as I found bourbon McCallisters with Dainite soles elsewhere. Oh well, at least Nordstrom has phenomenal service. I would still recommend these shoes, but it would have been better to see them first to ensure there were no imperfections like I found.

On the plus side, they exhibit the stunning craftsmanship of Allen Edmonds. I might end up passing them down to my son, assuming the shoes survive me. They are also unique in detail and fashion. I always get compliments on them at work. 4 out of 5 only because they will require some break in, as opposed to soft leather (that won't last as long or look as nice) that sometimes feels like a pair of familiar slippers at purchase. Classics, in an updated style.

Well this is the shoe for you! I absolutely love the color and feel of these shoes. Very comfortable, and really look great with my blue suit. These are my first pair of Allen Edmonds shoes, and although they were a little on the expensive side, it was well worth the money! And an added bonus, this particular color is an exclusive to Nordstrom! So very few people will have them, and I like that!

This is my third Neumok. I also have the blue and red pair and have been extremely satisfied with fit, comfort and craftsmanship. I bought Alcorn colorway because it was exclusive to Nordstrom and goes very well with jeans and khakis. I have been extremely happy. The break in period was 1 day and the shoe fits true to size.
