Poor quality
Poorly constructed boots. Outsole of left boot began separating from the midsole in less than 6 months.

comfy good leather shoes
After looking for Chelsea boots for a few months I finally stumbled on Allen Edmonds. The research I see shows they use good leather, Goodyear welt, and they just fit well! I’m a 6’3” person with slim feet but still needed the E fit and slightly larger size than normal. (10.5 -> 11E)

Sleek and cool and a little snug.
I wanted another pair of R.M. Williams but couldn't put out the $. This pair was discounted and I had lots of Nordy $. Ergo... and not regrets or real complaints. alert: I have narrow feet and they fit great (maybe just a little tight at the toe). Sleek and cool.

Beautiful Boot!!!
I have been looking for a tan Chelsea boot for a while. I am utterly pleased with my boots. They are beautiful and fit my narrow feet very snuggly...super comfortable for me.

Elegant
I always try to buy Allen Edmond shoes because they are such a good quality leather. I purchased these Chelsea boots after looking at other brands. I ordered one size larger because I have a high arch. As soon as I got them I took them to a bootblack and had them polished. They look like glass. I highly recommend these boots.

What happened to Allen Edmonds?
This shoe has a outstanding build. The materials that are used are first rate. The leather is soft and the details are refined. I am sorry they did not work out for my feet. They are very narrow boots. My measure is 9.5 D. The first pair was way to small at 9.5 D, so I ordered the 10 D. It was still too small, and not in a way that felt like the boot would break in to feel right on my feet. Nordstroms service as always was great, but after talking on the phone, the sales lead and I figured that this boot was not going to work for me. If you do order these boots, order one size wider and one size larger than normal. If they do fit, you will have a handsome pair of shoes. It is my understanding that Allen Edmonds was sold to a new owner. Some of the shoes they make now are not made in the USA. The first pair of AE's I bought years ago were the Warren style, and they are still holding up all these years later. The entire shoe is lined in fine soft leather. A few months ago, I picked up a pair of the Carlyle by AE. They are nice shoes, but the build is not anywhere near the Warren. The Carlyle I ordered was a D, and it is too snug. I can ware them, but at the end of the day, I am looking to get out of them ASAP. As much as I like the AE brand is the past, I may be looking at other brands due to changes in fit and finish, and the fact that not all the boots are made in the USA.
