Made with an eye toward sustainability, with a Tencel® lyocell upper and responsive foam cushioning, this shoe keeps you running and working out in comfort. The high-performance midsole made with sugarcane-based SweetFoam is optimized for cushion, stability and energy return. Even the laces do their part, fashioned from fiber made from recycled plastic bottles.

AllBirds is allowing its Carbon Footprint tools to be open source rather than proprietary, so it can make a difference in the shoe industry as a whole

I would give it 5 stars but…
The email I was sent only allows you to choose up to 4 out of 5 stars. Fortunately the shoe is better than the email marketing. Very good conformity to the foot with nice breath ability. They are a nice classic look that wears well in my office and remains a go to for everyday wear.

Most of the way there
Needs more support in the front, front padding. I replaced the laces (the paracord type is hard to stay laced). Good overall as a casual shoe but I wouldn't expect to use it for much athletic.

Great shoes; Terrible shoe laces
I’ve owned several pairs of Allbirds, and they’re easily the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had. This pair is great too—except for the laces. They’re oddly slippery or something because they keep coming untied, which gets annoying. Fix the laces and these are perfect.

Lightweight and surprisingly structured. Runs a little small.
Looks great. . . despite some initial concerns about the structure owing to the soft, lightweight material it has felt quite structured and stable. While it may not be as easy as Oxfords to slip in, it is still pet comfortable. The light-weight build is a win! My only minor gripe is the cushioning behind the ankle that took some getting used to. Ideally, I would like to see the website clarify that users need to go up 1/2 a size for their best fit.

Very happy with this shoe
Good fit (I have wide feet) and very comfortable. I wear them as my “go to” casual shoe, and they go anywhere.
