Love it
Had the 4 quart version of this pot and really enjoyed it. Just needed a little more room, so I decided to get this 8 quart pot for bigger batches of stew and curry.

A little disappointed
I bought this pot because it sounded like it was excellent quality and would be great for cooking soups, etc. I used it to boil a large corned beef. I used low heat at first & then gradually went up to just shy of medium. That worked well to cook the meat. When I washed the pot, however, it wouldn’t come completely clean. I used the barkeepers friend to wash the stubborn spots, but that didn’t work. It says dishwasher safe, so I tried that. Rough food spots still there. This was a very expensive pot! I expected to be able to clean it well. So I’m disappointed that it’s not completely clean.

D5 stockpot
I love my new D5 stockpot. I received it just before Christmas in time to use it for holiday cooking. I was amazed on how even the heat conducted and how nothing stuck to the bottom. This will definitely be my go to pot for sauces and soups. It was a splurge for me to get the 12 quart size but I have been wanting it for a long while and finally said “Merry Christmas to myself”
I look forward to future purchases…

The Perfect Stock Pot
The 12 quart 5D stock pot is worth the investment. It’s made in the USA (Pennsylvania). It’s the perfect size for making a variety of stocks. The beveled edge at the top of the pot provides a good seal with the lid — keeps steam/moisture from escaping. The sides of the pot retain heat for even heat distribution. My beef and chicken broths cooked great! Worth every penny.

Great addition
Finally, I found one I like!
Excellent conductivity, perfect size for the family, and easy to keep clean and looking like new.
Now, if you only had it's smaller sister in stock, my kitchen cabinet would be complete (the d5 4-quart).
Thanks All-Clad.

My new favorite gumbo and soup pot!
I have been waiting to get this stockpot for years, and I finally treated myself to it. I can’t believe I waited this long to get it! It is now my new favorite and go to pot for my vegetable soup and my chicken and sausage gumbo! My kids are already trying to lay claim to the pot after I check-out!

Worth the Price!
Wow! This is my first D5 All-Clad cookware and it certainly lives up to its reputation. Absolutely nothing stuck to the bottom of the pot during several hours of simmering. I paused at the price, but am glad I purchased it.
