8-Quart 4-Piece Stainless Steel Multi Cooker

I have used both inserts and the pot. The pot heats very well. Very nice quality. I would recommend this set to a friend. I am 54 and cook for my family for 30 + years. I live in South Carolina and look forward to using this pot for shrimp boil. My father was the shop teacher for Peter’s Township High School (Cannonsburg, PA) for many years. He taught woodworking and metal working. I sometimes wonder if he taught or inspired some of the talented metal crafters at All-Clad.

This is a well-made, attractive pot with a lot of potential, but there are a couple of design flaws worth noting. First, the large insert sits too high in the pot. This requires using more water to fully cover foods like potatoes or pasta, which increases the time it takes to bring the water to a boil. Additionally, the extra water makes the pot heavier to carry from the sink to the stove, which can be cumbersome. Second, the large insert doesn’t drain as efficiently as it could. Since there are no perforations along the bottom sides, water tends to pool along the edges after draining, requiring extra effort to shake it out completely. Overall, while the pot performs well and looks great, these adjustments could make it more user-friendly and efficient.
