The heirloom-quality talisman suspended on this chain necklace is handcrafted from an antique Venetian coin and plated in recycled 24-karat gold. Creative direction Rosh Mahtani created the Leone Medallion as a reminder to herself to be strong in moments of self-doubt. The textured medallion is inspired by the moment when Dante Alighieri finds himself in the dark wood of the Inferno, confronted by a terrifying lion.

Alighieri
Oxford grad Rosh Mahtani drew inspiration for her modern-heirloom jewelry line from the literature she studied at school, particularly Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy.
