Was EXACTLY what I had hoped for!!!

Fell in LOVE with this dress in the picture! Ordered it to wear as a guest to a wedding and it was PERFECT!!! I ordered the midnight blue and the color was identical to the picture. The silhouette is classy and flatering. Im 5'9, curvey, thick and athletic and it looked great on me! Definitely fits true to size!

Poor Quality

I bought several Alfred Sung dupioni silk dresses, hoping one would fit. I'm fairly short waisted and tall at 68", and I have a hard time finding a good fit right off the wrack. All of the dresses I tried would need altering, as they were too long and large above the waist. The dress lengths were good. This was good ... what was not was the quality of the silk -- ok, but certainly not great. And the real deal breaker was the lining. In this dress, especially, the lining was so poorly done. This dress has a flared skirt, so the lining should follow the cut of the skirt. It doesn't -- the lining from the waist down is a tight sheath which is uncomfortable, does not flow at all with the skirt of the dress, and rides up. What a cheap way to make a dress. None of these dresses were worth the price off the wrack, much less an additional alteration fee. They all went back.

Cute, but not if you're busty

I bought this in the "midnight" color for my sister's wedding, but ultimately had to return it. The cut is really cute, but is not designed for busty girls. The skirt fit well, but the entire top was way too tight. Would definitely look best on someone with a straighter build.

fit and flare

I loved the color but dress skirt does not match the picture. There are no pleats in back and there is a big pleat in front with two more to the side. This makes the dress lay flat in back and stand out in front. If it had had pleats spaced evenly all around as in the picture it would have a better silhouette.

absolutely stunning

Purchased this for my sixteen year old daughter for a winter semi formal and she looked absolutely stunning. I watched my little girl transform into such a beautiful young lady that night. (the dress was only a part of that transformation, but made it even more so special) such a timeless dress. Could not have been more happy with this purchase! Fit like a glove.

Nice fit, but makes your rear end look huge!

I bought this dress for a Paris photo shoot. I unfortunately ended up returning it prior to our trip. Loved the fit on the outside (the underlay is snug on the hips!). I'm 5'6", 150 lbs, pear figure, and it fit just right, hitting just below the knee. However, when I turned around, that's when I saw the problem. The way the zipper and back panel falls, it makes you look like your rear end is huge! I am curvy through the hips, rear end and thighs, but man, even my husband was like, "You have to return that dress!" I typically go for A-like dresses to mask my curves a bit and give me a smaller waist. But this one unfortunately made my backside enormous. Back to the store it went.
