Lakeside Stripe Crewneck Top

I would highly recommend trying this on before purchasing (or buying multiple sizes and returning what doesn't work). I'm usually a Small and purchased a Small here but I'll be returning for a Medium as the fit is a little funny on my body. There's a really thick (~4in) band at the bottom of the shirt and slits at the two sides on the bottom of the torso. It's cute, but it makes it sit a little funny at my waist and doesn't run as long as I would like. The sleeves also ran a bit short, as pictured, they're intended to end right above the wrist but it gives a little bit of a "child wearing the wrong size" look. The armholes themselves also run pretty large so it looks slightly bat-wing-ish, which makes the short sleeves look even weirder on me. So just be careful with sizing. Otherwise this is 4 stars because the QUALITY IS AMAZING. Upon just taking it out of the box I could tell this is going to last me many many years. It's more than just a cotton t shirt, it's much thicker and will keep its shape rather than cling to you or stretch out over time. Iykyk, but it feels like old original jcrew quality, which is something I've been looking for since they got cheaper so I'm definitely trying more items from Alex Mill. Well worth the price if you can find the right size/fit for you!
