quarantine wedding dress!
Our wedding was cancelled due to COVID 19. We decided to have a judge marry us on March 29th. The dress was perfect for a small backyard wedding with our parents. We got it in just before the stay at home order the next day. Thanks Nordstrom for allowing me to have a wedding dress for our special day. It was perfect!

Size, fit and availability issues
This dress is much prettier in person than I expected. It's simple, yet elegant. The fit said the dress ran large... and I am an 18W and ordered the 16W based on the recommendations and that the 18W was out of stock. It almost fit... but really needed the 18W. The dress is form fitting on the body and flows nicely to the skirt. It was just a little snug for me in the 16, which I assume means the size bigger would be either just right or need a little tuck to perfect the fit. I sent the 16W back and I will look for the 18W. Beautiful fabric and simple enough style to wear at dressy occasions. I was looking for a wedding guest dress... but can see wearing it at more dressy dinners, holiday party's and other social events... so it will be worth the price of finding it and having it fitted and hemmed a bit. Would be a 5 star review if they had my size and/or the fit was better.

Does not drop glitter!!!!
I have always liked the fit of Alex Evenings items with princess seams in the front and back of the dresses. The lining smooths it out more, and the sparkle is tiny, sewn on sequins! Yay!!! Bought for a special anniversary celebration.

Sophisticated flirty flare!
Out of five dresses this is the one I chose to buy. The design of the dress with the smaller waist that then slightly flared out towards the bottom was very flattering. The all over blue lace on top of the blue silky material gave it a sophisticated look with a dash of flirty flare. I felt pretty in it, I just need to get it hemmed a bit.
