Cap Sleeve Empire Waist Evening Gown

Beautiful dress. A little sparkle but not too much. The ruching and cascade give it nice movement and good for a mother of the bride or groom. I first ordered a size too big. I’m built very straight and so I went with the waist measurement but it is a true Empire waist so I didn’t need to. For reference I am 5’8” 135 lb, started with 8 but 6 is good with ease to get through the big day. Also the slit is not too high. The beading at the edge of the neck was more noticeable on the 6 than the 8, perhaps because of how the fabric happened to roll there. I might tack on a narrow smooth dark navy tape as a facing. Look forward to wearing it!

This dress was really nice and well-made. Loved the v-neck and sparkle on top. Fit was true to size for me. If you are large busted this might not be for you. I'm a 34DD and found that the seam under the bust wasn't right for me. Also, at 5-5, the dress was very long. Unfortunately, I returned this one.

This dress was a tight 2nd choice. It is stunning. Very comfortable fabric and fit. I just thought a non-lace bodice would be more suited to more occasions. I guess I'm more of a classic style than a romantic style!

Fit is true to size, did not need to size up for formal wear. Looks better on than the photo.
