Kayla Clog (Women)

This shoe is very well made. It has good quality leather (not too stiff), nice finished seaming with no rough edges, a nice soft lining, and fantastic padding. I am a true size ten but this shoe runs a little short in the length. It also runs very low in the instep, so much so that I could envision blisters on the top of my toes from the rubbing. When I tried them on with socks I could barely get my foot in the shoe, it would be impossible to wear a sock with this shoe. The width was ok, but this wasn't a good fit so I returned them. I'm not sure if I should try them in a larger size, that would help with the length but don't know if the instep would be good. I'd really like to have this shoe because it is so comfortable to stand in, it has fantastic padding, especially in the heel area. And even though it looks like a heavy shoe it is remarkably lightweight which makes walking easier. With the right fit it would be a great all day comfort shoe. My local Nordstrom has a pathetic selection of comfort shoes and doesn't carry this brand so online ordering is the only option available. I'm just not sure if I should try a size 10.5 or even an 11. Would I recommend it, yes, all feet are different your size might work for you.

My second pair of shoes by Algeria. Looks better than its picture. This clog is not a true open back heel, it's a low "cupped" back. I bought a size 38 but it's snug; not a good fit to wear with socks.The shoe is OK for a bare foot or nylon stockings. I would recommend ordering the next size up if you want to wear socks with this shoe. The insole/foot bed is removable makes the shoe roomier), so you can use orthotics. Easy for walking and standing.

I am in the medical field, and normally wear Dansko. I have wanted to try Alegria because i like some of their patterns. I felt the arch support was less then Dansko, and it took some getting use to the shorter back on the heel. They were not quite as comfortable as my Danskos, however, they are comfortable enough for me to continue to wear them, and get another pair or two for a variety of shoe choices for work--I do think they have some cute patterns.

First and most important, these shoes are a dream to wear. I have bad feet and am always worried about ordering on line when I can't try a pair of shoes on. No worries here for me. They fit like a dream and are so comfortable and solid. I have worn them down to a stub and they still feel great. Second, I have never received more compliments on a shoe. They are expensive for me so that was an extra thrill. Never seen anything like them before so don't wear them around Littleton, CO if you can avoid it.

I owe 4 other pairs of Alegria and they're so comfortable with the wide toebox. This is a different style clog that I bought online. The pair I received had the wrong size(36) insole so the fit was off in one shoe; the other shoe was soft and comfortable. Nordstrom is the best in customer service. I was able to return the shoes to the store and the sales associate ordered me a new pair immediately. I'm looking forward to receiving it because it's so cute and good for the health of my feet!
