What it does: Curl, shape, smooth and hide flyaways with no extreme heat. Reengineered attachments harness Enhanced Coanda airflow for faster, better and easier styling.

Features and benefits:

- The 1.2" and 1.6" long barrels create clockwise and counterclockwise curls, with just one barrel. Enhanced Coanda airflow attracts and self-wraps hair in both directions around reengineered barrels for voluminous curls or waves.

- Shape with smoothing brushes and enhanced Coanda airflow that attracts hair to the surface of the reengineered brushes to shape your hair with increased control for straighter styles.

- Coanda smoothing dryer and focused airflow to dry, smooth and hide flyaways. Quickly take hair from wet to damp in pre-style mode or finish your style with smoothing mode for up to 58% less frizz and flyaways for a smoother, shiny finish.

- Engineered for multiple hair types, lengths and styles with a range of versatile attachments that give you the style you want, whatever your hair type. Dries and styles simultaneously with no extreme heat.

- The Coanda effect styles with air, not extreme heat harnessing an aerodynamic phenomenon called the Coanda effect. It uses air to attract and wrap hair to the barrel, or surface of the brush.

- Powered by the Dyson digital motor V9 The 13-blade impeller spins at up to 110,000rpm, generating 3.2kPa. Powerful enough to produce the air pressure that creates the Coanda effect.

- Intelligent heat control measures airflow temperature over 40 times a second, intelligently controlling the heating element to prevent extreme heat damage.

- Negative ions in the airflow help reduce static in the hair.

So good I bought 2
I bought one of these for my salon. After using it there, I loved it so much that I bought another one for my home use. There is a learning curve, give yourself time & you will love it too. For those who cannot get the curls to stay - use a styling product with curl memory, take smaller sections, use the cool shot, & don’t run hands through your hair until it is ice cold.

Not worth half off
My hair holds curl so well. I can curl it on Monday and with dry shampoo through the week. Its still curled all week with maybe a couple of touch up pieces. This doesn't even keep the curl long enough for me to finish my hold head. I've looked at this for well over a year and it's very disappointing.

Game changer
I’d been eying the Dyson Airwrap since it first launched in 2019. I decided not to buy it as I didn’t see myself using it to the fullest as I’m a tomboy and wasn’t willing to spend a lot of time styling my hair. However, my friends who had picked it up LOVED their Airwraps. My long time stylist recommending the tool for me is what tipped me over to the strongly consider side. I still waited when the new model launched -- I’d already heard about the new improvements as it was available in UK/Australia. When it finally arrived in the states this past June, they sold out fast. When the restock hit, I purchased it and have been using it for a week. It’s a game changer, and I love it. Benefits: 1) Least damaging to the hair 2) Multi-purpose tool -- this straightens, curls, adds volumes, defrizzes 3) Well-made and built to last (just like all the other Dyson products) 4) The curling barrels are very easy to use, no more switching barrel attachments to change the curl direction. The dryer attachment now has a smoothing feature to tame flyaways. The ramp up to learning how to use it – I watched YouTube tutorials before trying it out (Jen Atkin gives the best one - https://youtu.be/jqRG40o3IOg). That really helped and I was able to style my hair, creating a bouncy/beach wave look the first try in 18 minutes flat (dry, smooth and curl). I have just shoulder length hair. While this set is targeted/marketed for people with long hair, it will work just fine for those of you with shoulder length hair like me. Also, you will have to contact Dyson support to get your device registered. As another reviewer mentioned, the registration portal doesn’t recognize the serial number. However, an email to Dyson support that includes proof of purchase, screenshots of the serial #, registration name/contact info will get the device registered.

not for me
If I had curly, frizzy, or wavy hair, I think I would like this tool. It can blow dry, smooth, and curl. I, however, have very straight hair and purchased it for the curling component and drying. My curls don’t last more than 15 mins, no lie. I have tried all the tips and tricks and different products, same result. So for $600, I shouldn’t have to try all these insane methods for curls that last 15 mins. I would be better off investing in the blow dryer and using a regular curling iron.
