Parker Cutoff Shorts

I agonized over paying $$ for pretty much a maxi-pad-type-of-shorts BUT I am a convert now!! If you typically don’t love yourself in cutoffs you might love these. - they are the perfect combination of super flattering, sexy, cool shorts. The leg openings are not tight and therefore lend the ultra slimming effect and the same goes for the looser/relaxed but not baggy fit. Swapmeet wash is the perfect sky blue color with just the right amount of distressing. As for sizing, I am 5’4” and 121-128lbs and usually wear jean size 26-27 and got these in 27 - which gives me the relaxed fit without baginess and comfort to wear these literally all day long. Just when I thought that the days of denim cutoffs were over for me, I discovered these and and cannot be happier! Buy them!!

I do love the style of these but they’re an odd fit. If you have a bigger butt (the only way to explain is to say a bubble butt) like me you may not like these, they look good in the front but look slightly tight in the butt and weird because they’re a bit longer back there. They’re supposed to be slightly baggie but it’s not possible if you have a booty. I’m usually an 8 in pants but had to size up to a 32 in these because of that. If you call agolde they will tell you to go with the size that’s snug on you because they will stretch which is partly true, they do stretch except for in the seat :/ grrrr. I did keep these but part of the destructed area ripped

I really loved these shorts and read the reviews prior to purchase. I saw that some folks had a rip issue, but really loved the look and got them anyway. Well, after 5 hours of wearing them, the rip started to happen. Not even in a seam but right up the middle of the leg. I immediately took them off and returned them. Sad because I really liked the look of these!

These shorts are SO FLATTERING! They’re edgy and cute, without being too revealing (hate when I feel like my butt is hanging out). If you’re looking for a more form fitting pair, I would recommend sizing down! I actually have two pairs, one in a 24 and one in my normal size 25, so I can have both a tighter and looser fit, depending on the occasion! For reference, I am 5’4 and 115-117lbs. I typically wear a 25 in most brands (I commonly wear Madewell and Everlane jeans). I know it seems crazy to spend this much on shorts, but it’s the only pair you’ll want to wear all summer!

The reviews are super inconsistent—some day to size up and others say to size down. I normally wear a 27 in madewell jeans and a 28 in Levi’s, and a medium, sometimes small in tops. I tend to size up with bottoms I’m not as familiar with since I have a bigger booty and thighs. This was my first Agolde purchase, so I purchased a 29 and 30 based on the reviews. The 30s came first and they fit okay, but were very baggy in the waist and booty. The 29s fit a LOT better but we’re still a bit roomy in the waist but fit great around the thighs—looser and not tight at all. They fit pretty perfectly! I probably could’ve done my true size (28), decided to keep the 29s because was worried that the thighs would be too small. The first time I wore the 29s, I bent down to pick something up and the distressing on the right (my right leg—left in photo) leg ripped, just like the reviews said. I tried to be careful but every time I would bend at the waist, the rip got larger and larger. By the end of wearing them for ~6 hours, the rip was halfway up the thigh. I love the fit and contemplated taking them to a seamstress to fix, but that is WAY too much work considering how much I spent on the shorts originally. I am returning the 29s because $130 is way too much to spend on shorts that you have to be so delicate with. I tried the 30s on and bent over and didn’t have a problem since they are very loose on me. I am going to keep the 30s, wash and dry them and then get them altered at Nordstrom for the perfect fit. Overall, these shorts are amazing. I will definitely get other washes from the brand in the future. If you are thin/have a more straight up and down body type I would say do your true size or even size down 1 size. If you are more of an hourglass/curvy hips/thighs then I would size up to prevent the distressing from ripping when you move around.
