Goldilocks of Jeans
I am not a "denim head" but I have tried several brands in the past year. For reference, I am 5'7" and 150 lbs. My favorite go-to pants have been by Paige, Faherty, Buck Mason, and Hiroshi Kato. I am frequently in between sizes - 28 waist in some brand and 29 in others (30 in Asket). I love Paige Jeans - Lennox Fit (the Federal are baggy). The Buck Mason jeans are very classic - not a lot of stretch but just solid. The Hiroshi Kato are amazing! I work out a lot and found my quads grew over the last year and fit has changed across the board. My favorites (Hiroshi Kato Pen Slim) still look great, but the fit has become a bit tight (legs) in the 28 waist. So much so that they aren't quite as comfortable for a full day of wear. I just discovered AG. I tried them before but the 29's were too baggy in the rear. The 28 strikes a perfect balance. I just bought of these Tellis and don't want to take them off, ever! They are by far the most comfortable jeans I have worn. They have the perfect amount of stretch so they are comfortable all around. I like them a little better than the Paige Lennox since they feel a little heavier and more substantial. The stretchy feeling takes care of the issue that I am having with a lot of my other pants - too tight in the quads. My hope is that they hold up over time since they'll be too big if they stretch a lot. I am trying the Dylan fit next to see how that one as well. I'm happy to find a new line of Jeans - so comfortable!
