Well, my 46 year old peri-menopausal body needed to size up a bit. All I have in my closet are size 26 and 27 skinnies. Although I miss my skinny jeans, these are a nice go between. The high waisted styles make me look like Humpty Dumpty, and the more flared styles are horribly unflattering on my blossoming thighs. These are a nice straight leg, with a true midrise (hits right below the belly button). Although not as flattering as the skinnies were, they are as flattering as they can be while keeping with the current trends. The bootie looks good on these, and the length was actually spot on for flats/sneakers.

Fit Varies between Wash
Originally bought these in darker wash "15 Years Firenze" in my normal size 29. However, Nordstrom's sent me lighter shade "18 Years Oslo"....I was wondering why the shade looked so light. The 29 fit a little loose, but in general I liked the feel and the cut, but was still wanting the darker wash. When I went to re-order the darker wash in same size (didn't size down even though lighter ones were a little big, i liked them a little loose) they were OOS. (thanks Nordstrom's & now they're back in stick and not on sale). Anyways, I ordered the darker shade 15 Yrs Firenze from another store on sale in same size 29. They came very quickly and I loved the darker shade as I have enough lighter shades. Only problem is that the darker shade didn't fit the same as the lighter ones I originally received. These had a tighter overall fit and were not as soft. It's almost like I should've sized up. They were not as soft and I will definitely need to exchange or return. Just be aware that lighter wash def does not fir the same as darker ones, at least in my experience. I own 5 or 6 pairs of AG jeans and usually size 29 is perfect. Wish Nordstrom's would've helped me a bit more as this is the 2nd pair of jeans in last 6 months that they've sent either the wrong size or wrong wash. Tag on jeans correct, just outer plastic packaging with sticker / name incorrect. Disappointed with fulfillment and customer service as they said they would help and never followed thru

perfect fit
I bought these jeans specifically because of the review that mentioned perimenopause. (I am also 46). I love them. Exactly as that reviewer noted. Good fit. Length is perfect. Flattering in the butt. They actually remind me of a great pair of jeans I had before I had a baby, and therefore remind me of who I was and how my body looked before my beautiful daughter was born. I’ve told my other perimenopause friends to buy these jeans.

Comfy but fit is so-so
These jeans are super soft and comfy-so much so I almost kept them. But, I don’t need another knock around the house in jean. The fit is TTS but the look for me is just ok. I am tall and straight and these just didn’t flatter. I ordered a 30, am sometimes a 29 so maybe I should have ordered 29. I am 5’10”, 150 lbs., 34/29/38

Nice fitting everyday jean.
Super comfortable and flattering. I purchased along with the black. Had to order up one size in these for the perfect fit. I’m tall (5’9.5) and they hit near the ankle. Material is thicker than the black, but still not a heavy material which is great for me living in Arizona. Soft and comfortable. Color looks more like the video shown than what the model is wearing. I purchased during the sale, but would pay full price. AG always feels superior to me. Included a picture to show where it lands on my waist and the color. The shirt I’m wearing in the picture is cropped if that helps. My proportions are fairly even. I do not have thin legs.

Great Jeans
Finally jeans that are not high rise. They are on the higher end of mid-rise, but they work for me with my longer legs and shorter torso. High rise jeans do not work for those of us with a high waist. These ran true to size for me. I typically wear 25-26 in jeans, I am 5'5" and they hit below the ankle on me and that is just what I wanted. I am so happy to have found a wider leg jean that is very flattering. I will be ordering more in this style.

love these jeans!
I’m 65, short waisted, and carry weight in my midsection. I ordered the 29 and I think they might be a little too large for me. I’m going to order the 28 and compare. One thing I really like is that the mid rise hits right at my navel. High rise jeans are definitely the wrong proportion for me.
