Wrap Bodice Chiffon Gown

I ordered this dress in coral. The color was shaded darker than what was online. I did not care for it. I did not care for the feel of the material and it had major static cling. That could be managed if I was in the United States but I will be traveling to another country and didn’t want to deal with it. The fit wasn’t bad. Seemed true to size. I ordered 2 sizes 8/10. The 8 fit. I am 5’4” 145 lbs and hippy.

I actually bought this dress as a base for a Halloween project and was looking for a semi simple evening gown that I can attach some chiffon fabric to. It was just what I was looking for and more. Very elegant and a timeless design. I will have to hem, which I did expect, but I also plan on removing my accoutrements after Halloween and using for NYE or other formal event. I expect it to look quite stunning when paired up with a blingy necklace and earrings. This was a larger size that I've never had to buy before and I didn't know what to expect. Without get to detailed, perhaps I can be a little useful. I consider myself curvy, with smaller waist than shoulders and hips but it's not tiny. I think the weight I've gained in my breasts is fairly balanced with my hips, but I will have to take in the top of the bodice on this dress. The waist fit me just right but the construction of the top of the dress doesn't have stretch. There's seems like there's room for a bustier than average person, there's room in the skirt for a little more hip, but the waist is set and there isn't extra room if you have a more even profile.
