AERIN Cedar Violet Gift Set $215 Value

I received a sample of this with one of my Nordstrom purchases, and immediately fell in love and bought the full size. If you are looking for a scent that is not to overly flowery feminine, has an earthy character, while smelling beautiful - what I coin "warm, earthy floral" - the kind of scent I think of dancing barefoot in the woods in front of a crackling fire of cedarwood, with decadent exotic flowers in my hair.

I received a sample of this perfume, and I'm definitely picking up the full size. I absolutely love this scent! I generally don't like typical floral or overly floral perfumes. It's not too overpowering and is a very woodsy / warm or sultry type of scent. For reference, my go to perfumes are TF Black Orchid and Versace Crystal Noir. This definitely fits within that same family of scents, in my opinion. If you've tried and liked either of those two, I would definitely recommend picking this up! You won't regret it.

Most perfumes simply do not work with my chemistry and the ones that do often smell stale after a few hours. Plus, I can often smell the chemical fillers used in so many perfumes--the kind I remember giving me a headache in the car as a kid when my mom put on perfume just before we left. Many also have high notes that drill into my head like a shrill piccolo. Cedar Violet, however, is lovely from start to finish. On me it's like a fresh powder and only takes a moment to blend with my chemistry, and the scent stays consistent until it wears off. Somewhere I read that someone experienced it as masculine, but that hasn't been my experience at all. It's clean and fresh without being too bright or green, and for me, the cedar notes are well incorporated and don't stand out, but rather serve as a grounding for the violet.

Just had this delivered earlier today and had to write a review. It is a perfect scent for me! I love Jo Malone wood sage and sea salt, but there is just no lasting power. I also love Le Labo Santal 33, but I feel like it is missing a sweet note for me. This perfume seems to combine what I love about both scents, and so far some really great lasting power. I bought this online just based on reviews and scent note descriptions, and was so worried it wouldn’t be what I was expecting. It is PERFECT! So glad I took a chance and ordered it!

I remember walking by the counter as I was leaving the store and thought I will spray a little of this on because I thought the title was catchy. The scent is not overwhelming in fact the opposite. Hints of cedar and violet combination couldn't be better. I love perfume and always search for that one perfume that will be my signature and I found it in Aerin Cedar Violet! Thank you for this exquisite, soft scent.
