Glitter Fit & Flare Tulle Dress

I bought this to wear for my son’s wedding in June. The style checked all the boxes: lightweight sleeves that provide coverage, flattering bodice and comfortable, below the knee length. I’m 61 and pretty fit but this covers the”old lady knees” perfectly! Comfortable for dancing too:-). The only thing I would change is the color. I wish it had deeper color or was a true pink. I’ll need a spray tan to wear this color. I wish more designers would make classic dresses like this style!! So versatile and classic. My other two mother of the bride dresses from AP were so fancy I wore them only once. This dress will be worn for many occasions after the wedding.

I had high hopes for this dress, so I am disappointed that it didn't work out, and here's why: I love the color, and I thought the style would be fun and flattering for a tall, fit, 63 year old, and something that wasn't too dressy that could be worn for many occasions. I was also pleased that it had sheer, 3/4 length sleeves. However, the "empire waist" is very unflattering and matronly looking, and for that reason alone it is being returned. I hope you find this review helpful.

The zipper was really cheap and bubbled in a lot of places and not due to fit. Maybe if the top wasn’t sheer and had a lining the zipper would lay better instead of being attached to completely sheer material. The front of the dress was also too low cut and very sheer. Would need to wear a strapless bra to look right, but then what’s the point of the sleeves? Might as well be a sleeveless dress. I loved the fabric, color and the print, but the style was off and the top needed to be lined.
