adidas
The adidas brand sets the curve for sports technology and streetwear relevance. In 1924, Adi Dassler founded his first shoe factory in Germany, providing athletic wear to Gold medalists in multiple Olympics. He created his namesake company and registered the now-famous three-stripes shoe design in 1949. Today, adidas shoes and clothing are synonymous with performance and style, with collections available for women, men and kids.

Classic Rod Laver Tennis shoes
Loved these as a teen; now I'm kind of an old-timer. Rod Lavers are classic and simple like Stan Smiths and I feel like they I need both. Perfect when I'm going for a casual sporty thing. Seems they are only available briefly every few years so I like to get a fresh pair whenever Adidas 're-releases' these tennis shoes. I don't play tennis, but that doesn't stop me from wearing one of my all-time favorite shoes.

messed up a classic
I don’t know why Adidas has to continue to play games with Rod Laver sneaker. This current iteration isn’t just heavy for a rod laver, it is heavy for any sneaker. No one lovse RL’s more than me, but these are going back. These are boot heavy. Ridiculous. Really disappointed, but not surprised as Adidas continually and unnecessarily tinker with this sneaker.—-that is when they release it!

Aint what she used to be
Wore Lavers for 20 years from 1994-2014 when they dropped off the face of the earth. After a decade I manage to snag these....and they either changed or simply aren't as good as I remember.
These are very heavy, pinch in the arch and the heel collar pleather is plain uncomfortable when wearing no-show socks.
I had hoped they would loosen up a bit and break in since March - no such luck. They don't get anywhere close to the wear of my Rogers or Pro Staff 87s

Not Like Vintage Rod Lavar
Got these for my boyfriend and we were both excited as these were his favorites back in the 80’s!
Adidas is not making the same Rod Laver they debuted in the 70’s that’s for sure.
These fit stiff with no break-in period and over all cushion and comfort is lacking.
BF says there is no way he could wear them for a tennis match. Oh yeah, btw, contradictory to the sales associate video on these saying they’re a basketball shoe; the were once a stellar court shoe made for tennis. Thus, the great Aussie Tennis player of the 60’s & 70’s, Rod Laver. 🎾

A retro tenny that remains true to the original
Great classic Tennyson that looks great and is very comfortable. Wish adidas would release these regularly as the Rod Laver is a scarce sneek to find. Glad I found it here. Now release the all-leather upper with the blue trim.
