Activity Walker

I cannot believe this product hasn’t been taken off the market. My daughter almost broke her fingers in the mirror spinning piece. It’s a shame because everything else about the walker is great, but this is a huge mistake on Gathre’s part and whoever approved this toy to be safe for children.

I had this on my registry because it’s pretty. Was surprised a family friend actually bought it at that price. When baby was first old enough to notice it, it was so dangerous for him to reach out and grab it because he would pull it down on his face. Most walkers have a wide enough triangular shape that they can’t just be pulled down like that. So I would only let him use it while I was sitting with my legs wrapped around him and my feet holding the walker down. Then I realized I could just put a kettle bell in the back so I did that. But the swivel thing with the little balls in it was also such an easy way for him to put fingers in and then accidentally take the other hand and smash them and not know how to get out of it. I got so mad at myself every time I looked away for one second And he would hurt himself. As for the wheels, the amount you tighten them is the amount they roll or don’t roll so we were never able to use it to roll because it just didn’t work. The only function on that is kind of cool now that he’s 15 months is putting the shapes in their slots but the slots are so low that he can’t see them be beneath the thing above them. The whole thing is just not planned out for a child. It’s grabbing your attention because it’s pretty and not bright plastic and that’s all it has going for it. I am annoyed it hurt my kid as often as it did and didn’t do much else.

Mirror on walker was sent with a crack. Due to purchasing during the anniversary sale the item was completely sold out. Called customer service and had a less than stellar experience - they gave me a $25 credit to get it fixed. What's up with customer service? I have had several issues over the last year (wrong items sent, defective items, lost items etc.) and they don't seem to care....what happened to the "exceptional customer service experience?"
