Acne Studios par Frédéric Malle Eau de Parfum

I have a few favourite fragrances from this brand's first decade, so was excited to see one in the SNK Fragrance Calendar, but this is very different to their earlier style. There are few fragrances based around peach, and it is nice to see this note used here. That is really where the good bit ends for me. It started with a peach and fabric conditioner blend - nothing natural about this - that gradually became more powdery as the peach slowly receded. As this happened there were occasional touches of a slightly sour note (like stale milk perhaps). Eventually this settled down to mainly Johnson's baby power fabric conditioner style synthetic musk, and stayed pretty much that until it faded. At least it did not smell cheap. The longevity was good, but I did not find this an advantage as I liked the peach element best and that did not last long. Sadly, if this is the direction this brand will be travelling in, it will go there without me. My partner was similarly unimpressed, and overall we both found this a very disappointing fragrance giving the brand's earlier performance.

I received this in the Space NK scent Advent calendar and it's a beautiful fresh scent with notes of rose and violets. I adore most rose scents but this is not an old fashioned rosé scent but a lovely more youthful feminine scent that lingers for ages and one of my favourite from the calender.

This came in the fragrance advent calendar which I would highly recommend. I am such a fragrance fanatic so it was so nice trying out lots of different perfumes I otherwise may not have tried. will definitely be getting the advent calendar again next Christmas

I received a small size of this perfume in the 2025 space NK fragrance advent calendar and I really like it - the notes come together to create a soft and feminine scent, quite creamy, easy to wear as a daily fragrance. I don't know if I would repurchase it though as the price tag is quite high for a scent that feels quite day to day for me and not stand out enough to be super special.
