Founded in L.A. in 1995 but inspired by the Brooklyn streets, Bed Stu handcrafts shoes and boots for women and men. The brand uses traditional shoemaking techniques like hand-weaving and hand-sewing, as well as natural leathers (from free-range animals when possible) and a vegetable-based tanning process, so each shoe is unique and imperfect but always genuine.

Where's the gloss?
I am giving these boots 4 stars because they will not be as shiny as the ones on the website. I thought they would be; however, they are not. Maybe they can tell us how to get them as shiny as the representative boots here. They are comfortable and will fan out some with wear. They are a nice, versatile boot.

Love right out of the box!
These are simply amazing! Since they have a pointy toe I sized up and they fit right out of the box. I have a little extra room with thin socks, but that is okay. These boots are comfortable and look so great. I find myself looking for outfits to wear with them vs. choosing my clothes then choosing shoes to go with the outfit. Another win for Bed|Stü!

So uncomfortable and stiff
First, I tried a size larger than my normal size and had to fight to get them on, but they were too big and hurt my feet. I returned them and got my normal size and once I got them on, they hurt so profoundly and I could not get them off. Additionally, they look NOTHING like the picture. There is no shine - they are a matte light brown. I can't imagine that anyone will be comfortable in these boots. I have other boots from this company and they fit just fine. These are created badly.

LOVELY AND AMAZING
If you know to size up in Bed Stu boots, these are delightful out of the box. I am an 11 in Bed Stu (between 10-10. 5 in other brands). These boots are ridiculously gorgeous. The blue is even better in person (more muted than in the photos), and they are stunning on. I also have the Deuce in red/black, and they're equally wonderful. I have been wearing all kinds of Bed Stu boots and shoes for more than a decade. No other brand, for me, comes close on craftsmanship, comfort, and fabulous, fabulous style.
