Absolue Longevity MD Intercept Face Cream for Mid-Age Refill

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this product for a few weeks and the immediate results I am seeing are firmness and improved elasticity. I can’t wait to see the long term results. I don’t have deep wrinkles but anything to prevent them from occurring is going to be worth it. I don’t know anything about science but evidently Lancôme really did their research. I have never seen any product with the ingredients this cream has. This formula is supposed to intercept (hence the name) the aging process at the cellular level. The cream is thick, but does not feel heavy. I massage it in my skin well and it absorbs nicely. There is a scent with this product, as there is with lots of luxury products, and I love it. I know scent can be a con for some people so I would keep that in mind. For me personally I cannot think of one con.

Love that it not only moisturizes but contains proprietary intercept compound Mitopure. Mitopure is supposed to improve mitochondrial function and cellular recycling. Other key ingredients are niacinamide, rose pro-xylane and taurine. It is intended for daily use for all skin types. I like the thickness of the cream and typically use it at night. Did not try under makeup due to thickness. No skin irritation or issues. Have been using on my face, neck and hands. My neck looks and feels firmer. Fine lines on face are less noticeable. The extra bit I’ve been rubbing into my hands has made them feel more soft, including a couple of spots on my fingers that previously felt dry and a little rough. The retail price is in the luxury range, but you get a good amount of cream. A little goes a long way. Totally worth it for my neck alone!

If it fits your budget I will definitely recommend giving it a try. I’m 35, don’t smoke, I do get Botox but otherwise my routine is fairly minimal. While I didn’t notice strong lifting effect. I did experience intense hydration and soothing. I’ve been using this cream long enough to form a solid opinion. First of all, if you have combination to oily skin, this might be a bit heavy for daytime use. This is a kind of cream I reach for after more aggressive treatments, like retinol and acids. It truly helps bring everything back into balance. I also love how my skin looks and feels in the morning. The texture is quite rich, slightly sticky and heavy right after application , which is why I personally prefer using it at night. I can compare it to a hair mask, like when your hair needs deep nourishment, I use this cream in the same way. I know it will restore my skin.
