Metropolis Lace Boot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These boots are very cute and stylish but I just couldn't make them work for me and my wardrobe. Meaning, I couldn't find anything in my closet that would pair well with these boots to justify my keeping them. Also, they felt a bit too 'clompy' on me (I am petite so that may have had something to do with it). The size felt true to size and they were really comfortable for the short time I walked around the house in them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had these boots for almost a year and rarely wear them because of how bulky and chunky they are, making them difficult to wear. The the thick heel is very heavy and makes them difficult for me to walk in properly, and I'm used to wearing high heels. In fact, it's hard to drive in these boots because I can't feel the pedals well so I wear a pair of flats for driving and change shoes in the car.The metatarsal pad and arch support are very comfortable, but the boot is slightly wide for a medium width shoe - even with a double layer of socks and tights - so my feet slide around while walking. Since the boot zips in the back, the laces can't be tightened past a certain point. The toe box is hard and has too much space.I love the color and style, and the feel of the suede is soft and high quality. I just wish these boots fit better and didn't feel like I was wearing ankle weights in an aerobics class in 1983.
