Supersonic Travel Hair Dryer

I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited to see that Dyson created a TRAVEL hair dryer! I purchased it as soon as it was available and decided to compare it with my current travel hair dryer (which, frankly, beats hotel hair dryers). I love that the dryer is light, and essentially functions like my Supersonic at home. There are a couple of misses or wants, however: 1. Travel bag - All of my travel hair dryers have come with a bag. This is a miss on Dyson's part, considering my Supersonic at home has a bag. 2. Cool Shot Button - It's very rare to find a travel dryer with a cool shot button. Why is that? As a design focused company, I expected Dyson to have this dialed in. This review is not about Nordstrom or another Dyson Product. It's about the TRAVEL hair dryer. Here's what I've observed about the dryer after using for almost two weeks. It's lacking in power compared to the original; however, that's what allows the hair dryer to be lighter. It takes me a bit longer to dry my hair, but it beats hotel hair dryers and my current travel hair dryer. The attachments WORK (contrary to what the other reviewer says-- it works with the attachments on my Supersonic sans issues). Could it use a touch more heat, absolutely (I've got thick hair and I'd prefer not to stand under the hair dryer for too long), but it beats other travel hair dryers, so there's that... I'd give this purchase a 5 stars if it had a bag and a cool shot button. The price is what you would expect from a Dyson product. But, they work!

I spent $635 on the Dyson Airwrap Dryer. When I purchased this travel dryer the advertising from Dyson stated other attachments were compatible. Read it carefully. The attachments have to be magnetic, and in spite of how much I spent on the Airwrap dryer, those attachments have a different mechanism that are not compatible with the travel model. So very disappointed.

Drying time was impressive, and I didn’t feel like I was sacrificing performance for the smaller size. If you’re looking for a premium hair dryer and don’t already own the standard Supersonic, this travel version would be an excellent choice for both everyday use and travel. It combines power, portability, and convenience without compromising on results.
