I buy my own Christmas gifts from hubbie. In fact, I buy two of these. Outrageously expensive and outrageously wonderful, for a wonderful wife ! I have never found anything that compares to this candle and believe me, I have tried. Love it !

No Scent
I am not one who gives reviews, or bad reviews at that, but I felt it was needed on this candle. I was so excited to receive this candle because I love santal. Wow, a $68 candle that has no scent! I will never purchase another one of these again. I’ve bought $10 candles that fill my entire house with their scent. Maybe it’s just the santal scent, but I don’t recommend spending the money on this.

Fragrant Santal
If you love “santal” — or sandalwood, as it was once known — this candle hits the mark. Le Labo has one as well, but I find the Diptyque more fragrant.

Santal candle
I ordered this specific brand and scent after reading that it is favorite of a top Hollywood producer and because I love sandalwood. I have it on my bedside stand and have not even lit it yet because it emanates such a delicious scent in its unlighted state. My plan is to light it for about 5 minutes every evening before retiring and to move it into our living area when we entertain.

Warm and spicy!
This is a wonderful warm and spicy santal. Its very elegant and strong while not being overpowering. I like to keep one santal and one 'patchouli' (also Diptyque) next to each other in our living room and bathrooms. The scents compliment each other beautifully. They also last longer than most candles I've tried. The extra burn hours definitely make the higher price worth it. I also find that I can burn these down to nothing and all the wax burns away. I never have that big chunk of wasted wax :)

perfect unisex candle
It’s hard to review a scent since everyone has their own preferences, but I absolutely love the smell of this candle! Of course it’s a chic home decor addition in and of itself, but I was never a fan of the popular Baies scent so I was thrilled when I smelled this one. It’s warm, mellow, inviting, spicy, unisex (not too sweet or too tobacco-ey), and just perfect. Friendly reminder to cut the wick, otherwise black soot (? Residue?) accumulates on the edge.
