Difficult to apply
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time trying this brand. Unfortunately, it's not what I expected. The color of the lip pencil is pretty. The packaging and labels are cool, but the product is dry and difficult to apply and spread. The texture is hard and flaky. It's also difficult to remove, almost like a stain. I would like to try another product from this brand, to give them another chance.

We’re so glad you liked the "Couture" packaging and the pretty shade of our Kiss Shaper Lip Liner, but we are truly sorry to hear that the formula felt dry, flaky, and difficult to apply. Because this liner is designed for 12-hour "second-skin" wear, it is formulated to set very quickly into a transfer-resistant matte finish, which can sometimes feel "tuggy" or dry if applied over un-prepped lips. To ensure a smoother glide, try a gentle lip exfoliation followed by a non-greasy balm (like our Top Secrets Lip Mailer) 10 minutes before lining. For removal, we recommend an oil-based cleanser or a bi-phase makeup remover to gently dissolve the long-wear pigments without scrubbing. We would love for you to give YSL another chance and many of our users who prefer a creamier, more "melt-on" feel absolutely love our Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick. Seamless blending for over-lining lips
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This liner blends in seamlessly to make my lips look bigger when I over-line. It has a matte finish, but it still looks good under sheer and glossy lip products. It goes on smoothly and lasts about as long as my lipstick.

Poor quality control but good product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This liner goes on fairly smooth but find that the darker shade almost skips as it applies sometimes which makes it look patchy. The actual liner itself is also VERY loose in the plastic to the point that I was (and still am) positive that it's going to fall out as soon as I forget to be careful with it. It does wear really well and is very comfy on the lips. Also love that it stains so quickly (but that does mean you have to work fast!) but is also able to be blurred out for a softer look. The liner itself basically wipes right off so I'm unsure if the lighter colors would work as well considering they wouldn't really stain the lips.

Perfect

This goes on so buttery smooth and is the perfect door pink to define my lips in the most natural way. I have to sharpen it a lot but that’s only because I’ve been using everyday! It also lasts for hours and through drinking and eating.
