Windowpane Plaid Elbow Sleeve Organic Linen Shift Dress

Love the dress in both L and XL, my usual EF sizes -- but both dresses are just too short. The dresses do not have a hem that could be let out an inch or two -- instead, they have a wide band of extra fabric sewn onto the bottom of the dress. I know I'm the odd man out, but I also dislike the pockets -- they just hang loosely inside the dress and are sure to become a wrinkled mess of fabric once washed. I do love the fabric and wish it came in a tunic length blouse. My dream.

This dress style is one I buy for the comfort, upper body and arm coverage, and ease of wear. The version in the linen grid fabric is the best one yet for hot weather and traveling. I bought it in the plus size I would normally wear. It is loose in the upper body, and there is a lot of volume below the bustline, so I will buy the next size down. The fabric is very light and comfortable. Great to have pockets. The grid pattern is visible, so it does not show as solid black. If there were other colors, I would buy them all, too. I think it would be a wonderful summer dress in the Soleil, Cornflower, or Grenadine colors in the new seasonal releases. I like it even better than my Delave' linen dresses in the same style.

This is one of my top favorite EF dress purchases. It’s not warm enough in the northeast to wear it alone yet, but I’ve already worn it with slim pants and a cropped cardigan and it worked well. The dress is roomy and flowy and the sleeves are the perfect length - not too short, but a good length for warm weather. This dress will be easy to dress up or down for summer.
