Seersucker Shirt Jacket

The jacket is cute and I love the fabric, however it is short length not basic as it says it is. I’m 5’4 but it’s almost too short for how I wanted to wear it. It’s not structured at all but I didn’t expect that. The description of the measurements is accurate so check before buying. I noticed several jackets say basic length but you can tell by the pictures they are very short on the model. I wish EF would stop making so many items only in the shorter length. I don't expect them to listen to their customers because reviewers have been saying this for years, make real Petites again and make more basic length tops and jackets. In my dreams they would make petite XL for pants but that will never happen. I keep hoping the old EF styles and quality will come back but, well, you know…

I first tried this in ink at a dept store in 1X. It was too big, and there was no XL to compare. These days most of my jackets and shirts from EF are XL. So I ordered the sea salt in XL with confidence, during the spring event and using a gift card. The jacket is too big. I compared it to an older jacket in the cotton pucker in seaweed, also XL, same style, and it is about 5 inches wider. The sleeves are also wider and longer. I am very happy with the extra length in the sleeves, but have re-ordered in a L. This was my second attempt at using the gift card. I feel like I am constantly returning EF clothes....However, the fabric is great, softer than cotton pucker, and I love the sea salt, which works beautifully with all the grays, blues, and even rye.
