High Waist Embroidered Lace Cotton Pants

Wish I could give this a 5 star, BUT I can’t help but question the people who work in the shipping department and who’s in control LOL. You send a pair of (not to mention expensive pants because you think everyone is rich and go with the “if it’s broke fix it” mentality) — New-flash, not in this economy— Quit if you hate your job and don’t care because you’re lazy. Period! Anyway, other than that, the pants and it’s qualities were very nice and fit nicely, even though the zipper was completely torn. The button to secure the pants gave me enough confidence to approve the fit. It’s a high waist however it doesn’t have any stretch so once you put them on and move around they may stretch a tad but not that much because they’re cotton-based. It fit everything nicely, but was a little big in the high waist area, so if you want to go the extra mile, get alterations to take the waist in— Which I did and requested a new and prettier zipper. It depends on your body, if you have an hourglass figure the waist will be a little bit but will fit in the hips and butt. I have an athletic body type and usually wear a size 26, but my hips and butt are bigger, so I went to the next size up. If you’re typically a whole size then get your normal size and look at the measurement chart to compare to determine what size may fit. I said true to size because sizing is truly subjective to your measurements.

I really want to love this brand, but they insist on having their clothes made basically for one body type, I suppose? I have a smaller waist and a more plump, ehem... peach. I normally buy a 29 in jeans (as I prefer a relaxed fit) and then get them tailored if the brand doesn't care to cater to a woman with curves. For reference, I am 5'6 and 149 lb. I purchased these in-store from Macys and could NOT fit into them until I went all the way up to size 34! It was crazy! And, to make matters worse, they totally flattened my butt ! I think these would be great on someone who is built more straight up and down, but if you have hips or a butt- no matter how small your waist is, skip these. They are beyond gorgeous though.
