Beautiful, but needs lining/alterations
The colors/cut on this dress are striking and flattering in all the best ways, so I'll be keeping it (at the sale price). However, it's going to need some significant tailoring. The dress is only lined in the bodice area, and the cotton fabric is not thick/sturdy and doesn't have any stretch, so it doesn't drape well from the waist down. This looks/feels cheap, and I'm hoping that having a lining sewn in will help. I will also need to have the requisite strap/hem adjustments to fit my shorter frame.
