What it is: A new interpretation of the Hermès chypre perfume infused with captivating intensity and sensuality.
Fragrance story: True to the elegance of a classic chypre perfume, Barénia Eau de Parfum Intense amplifies the softness of butterfly lily and the depth of oakwood. Leathery notes evoke Barénia leather, harmoniously underlining the intensity of a patchouli absolute and creating a unique and captivating signature. The bottle is inspired by the Collier de Chien bracelet and tinted with an amber gradient, echoing the depth of this eau de parfum intense. Its gentle elliptical curves balance out the strength of the pyramidal studs with their domed sides.

very strong and musty
this perfume has a very musty, leathery scent and is very strong. i do not like the scent and wouldn't wear it, it's too intense and masculine for my taste. the bottle is pretty though.

Rich And Complex
I got it complimentary from Hermes. This is a very elegant and complex fragrance. It starts off fruity and bright, then develops into a warm woody-leathery base that lasts for hours. It definitely feels sophisticated and luxurious. Personally, I found it a bit too strong for my taste and a little more mature than what I usually wear, but I can see it being a perfect signature scent for someone who enjoys bold, timeless perfumes.

How Hermès Barénia Feels on Skin
Wearing Barénia Eau de Parfum Intense feels like wrapping yourself in soft leather with a touch of warmth. On my skin, the leather stands out immediately, but it’s smooth and elegant, never harsh. The butterfly lily adds a soft floral lift that keeps it feminine. After a while, the oakwood and patchouli come through, giving it depth and a cozy, sensual feel. It’s not loud, but when someone catches it, they notice. I reach for it when I want something refined and a little mysterious.

Great colder months perfume
This fragrance feels perfect for the colder months. I will definitely wear it throughout fall because it has that cozy depth I love. The scent is rich but not too strong and it settles beautifully on the skin. The bottle itself is so elegant and adds a touch of style to my vanity. A solid 4 stars from me.

Timeless....
I really enjoy Hermes Barénia Eau de Parfum Intense. It starts off smooth and a little fresh, then settles into this warm leather and patchouli mix that feels rich but not overwhelming. To me, it smells like classic Hermes, elegant, understated, and timeless. It’s the kind of fragrance that makes you feel put together without being loud about it.

The sharp, leathery sister
Gifted by hermes. I love the original Barenia perfume so much, and am absolutely wowed by this intense version! It keeps the earthy, floral, feminine aspects of its original version while also having a sharper, bolder feel to it with the leather notes and deeper patchouli absolute. It’s interestingly very similar and very distinct at the same time. It’s deep and earthy and the oakwood really comes forward. After the initial notes wear off, you can smell the leather scent that gives it the kick that the original doesn’t have. While the original feels more like a day scent, this leans more towards a night scent for me.
