Bad zippers and sub-par imsulation
Zipper and warmth.
For such an expensive coat, I truly expected a better zipper. The design of the main zipper (which is cheap plastic) catches The fabric every other time that I zip this thing up or down.
While the reflective layer does reflect body heat, the insulation is substandard for temperatures under 10 degrees, and the jacket gets cold.
Breath ability is almost non existent, and one does have a tendency to sweat in this thing, which can be deadly in cold climates.

Not to shabby, not the best
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I am a 5'7 individual not exactly super tall or fat or skinny pretty average the biggest issue is the arms are a little long and the inside gold does like to escape sometimes. I feel as Columbia is losing quality over the years as I've been getting a lot of these jackets and the inside does kind of feel a little on the cheap side I don't know if this is on purpose or something is going on with their quality control but overall not too bad. I don't have a super skinny muscle frame but it is a bit loose surprisingly on the sleeve holes where your hands go through. It feels pretty decent it looks pretty nice as well. There is for sure a lot of filling in it and it gives it a very poofy look if that's not what you like then don't get this. The outside material feels pretty okay. I think if you were to take this on a ski trip a camping area hiking it will last pretty decently against brush ups with maybe some rocks and tree branches etc. it will definitely keep you warm if you wear a mid layer such as a Columbia down jacket. I would say it would keep you pretty warm in a down to 0° temperature with wind chills using this. Very nice tan color.

Not as warm as expected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not quite as warm as I expected since this coat came with a maximum warmth rating.
I imagine combining it with a base layer underneath or a fleece shearling shirt would help but this coat alone with a shirt underneath is not sufficient for below freezing weather.
Also, as others have pointed out the Omniheat gold lining comes out below the sleeves.

loose lining.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this back in November. It's okay but one thing that really bothers me is, when you put it on, the foil lining comes out the cuff of the sleeve! You have to put it, then before you put your left arm into the sleeve you have to pull the lining back on the inside on the coat. I noticed the arms are rather tight too. And my arms are not that big!

Super warm for Minnesota winter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband loves this parka. He's always cold and this is the first jacket to keep him truly warm in many years. He also appreciates the gold Omni heat tech in both look and function.
